Goshen Farm Preservation Society is proud to announce the ground breaking of the test plot for the future community garden. Cape resident Nicole Neboshynsky wanted to revive the working history of Goshen Farm while contributing to the community. She understands the mature trees of the neighborhood contribute to the charm and uniqueness of the area. This also makes it difficult for most households to grow their own vegetables and flowers. The Goshen Farm community garden will provide a place to garden beginners and experts to dig in and grow healthy food.
This year will be dedicated to testing the soil and location for future growth. The possibilities for the future of the garden are open for discussion and input. We urge you to share your ideas, concerns and interests in this project. Some current ideas for the garden include a children’s garden, plot rental and share cropping.
